Gold Leaf Gilding
The application of gold leaf to surfaces is called gilding, the main types of gilding I usually use in my work is reverse glass gilding and oil or surface gilding. Gold adds a stunning depth of richness that no gold coloured paint can imitate. It’s a delicate material to work with, sheets of gold leaf are essentially microns thick, despite its tricky nature gold leaf work is a true investment and a great embellishment to any piece.
